The film follows metal fan and anthropologist Sam Dunn on a whirlwind journey through Asia, South America and the Middle East. He explores the jagged edges of the emerging extreme metal music scenes of world:  from Indonesian death metal, Chinese black metal to Iranian thrash metal.
